How to Remove Connectors on the Controller

Whether a controller needs to be swapped out or individual connectors need to be examined, it can be difficult to remove these secure connectors. Here is how to do so easily.

Tools Needed:

• Flat-head Screwdriver or similar prying implement

Procedure:

1.      Place finger behind the connector and push the tab release.

3.      Seats the flat surface of the flathead onto the lip of the Molex connector. Use body of controller as a fulcrum and lever the connector away from port.

When reinstalling connectors, only use finger strength to push in until the tab clicks. All of the connectors are uniquely sized so there is no danger of installing the cables in incorrect ports.
