WAZER Pro Tank Cleaning Cycle

WAZER Pro collects Used Abrasive from the middle of the tank. During cutting, abrasive is constantly collected through the low pressure system. However, some abrasives can still accumulate at the bottom of the tank, especially if your input water pressure is low (< 40psi / 275 Kpa). To collect this Used Abrasive, run the Tank Cleaning Cycle after your cut is completed. This procedure will help prevent any clogs in the Filtration System. We also recommend running this cycle before cutting if your machine has been sitting for a long time

Required Tools

  • Water Buckets

  • Sandbags (recommended)

  • PPE (Gloves, eye goggles, masks)

Procedure

Remove all left-over materials and fasteners from the Cut Bed (leave the absolute locating jig).

Make sure the water input shut-off valve and purge shut-off valve are turned on.

Raise the nozzle so it will not collide with the cut bed

Go to  “Setup and Maintenance” > “maintenance” > “Tank Cleaning”, follow the prompt on the screen, and press the “Start” button to engage the tank cleaning mode.

WAZER Pro starts as if it is conducting a cut. Nozzle injects high pressure water at several locations, while the low pressure system picks up used abrasive and dump them in the collection buckets.

The nozzle largely travels in a “L” shaped path during this mode.

The Tank cleaning takes 4 minutes to finish. Allow the WAZER Pro to complete the tank cleaning cycle before open the door window.

Remove the used abrasive collection buckets, and dump the collected used abrasive.

WAZER recommends using the sandbag-over-bucket methods, as excess water can be filtered away, thus decreasing the weight. See our online instruction for detail.

Next Time

If the input water pressure is too low, the venturi purge may not work as expected, thus affecting the used abrasive collection performance during the cutting. Tank Cleaning cycle is recommended after every cut if input water pressure is low, so to prevent used abrasives from accumulating and settling in the tank. Settled abrasives are extremely hard to remove, and require strenuous manual labor.
