WAZER Pro Abrasive Collection Check
WAZER Pro incorporates a robust and efficient used abrasive collection system. However, the system may be performing less desirably under some extreme circumstances. Used abrasives may start to accumulate in the tank. It is recommended to check the level of accumulation whenever you are flipping or replacing the cut bed.
Required Tools
A meter-long rigid ruler or stick
PPE (gloves, masks and eye goggles)
M6 hex driver or cut bed tool
Philips screwdriver
Procedure
Remove the absolute locating jig and cut bed according to the instructions provided.
Do not drain the tank at this step.
Lower a meter long ruler into the tank, carefully lower it until it touches the accumulated used abrasive in the tank.
The accumulated used abrasive feels like wet sands.
If you touched anything solid and rigid, that might be a physical component of the tank.
The tank has 4 rivet heads halfway of the tank wall and two bird-cage shaped filters near the middle of the tank bottom. Be careful not to damage the bird cage.
Hold where the stick and the water line meet, or draw a mark near the water line on the stick.
Pull out the stick, check the distance between the water line to the bottom.
When no abrasive accumulated, the deepest point of the tank is 0.75m deep, or 2 ½ feet deep. If the measured distance is less than this figure, and wet sand is felt at the tank bottom, the difference is the thickness of accumulated used abrasives.
If the low pressure system is operating well, it is expected that 5-10cm of accumulation at the tank bottom. If you noticed the accumulation is more than that amount, please refer to “pick up line purge” and check the function of low pressure system.
Move to another section of the tank, check the general distribution of accumulation pattern.
If the used abrasive collection system is entirely non-functional and the used abrasive in the tank is accumulated too high, a whole tank cleaning is needed.
